New York State Reading Association Publications
ReAD is sent to every NYSRA member who has indicated that they wish to receive email from us. Submissions are accepted up to the first of the month and the newsletter goes out around the middle of each month.
The Reading Scene is a newsletter published two to four times per year. Currently it is available on line. A black-line master is shared with each council for distribution to those members without e-mail access. This newsletter provides information about organizational business such as awards and nominations, legislative initiatives, committee requests, calls for manuscripts, council events, State Education Department updates and so forth. The newsletter is mailed to the membership quarterly.
Book Banter is a quarterly newsletter format of book reviews written under the direction of Mrs. Alice Sample-Chairperson of the Children's Literature Committee.
The Language and Literacy Spectrum (Sample Issue) is a professional journal published annually by the New York State Reading Association (NYSRA). Subscriptions to the journal are granted as part of the membership fees for members in the New York State Reading Association. This is a peer reviewed journal and is currently available to all.
